This license agreement is ideal for IT technicians or service companies who may maintain a large number of computers and may want to back them up before work is performed. If they didn't have a Technician License then every time they backed up another computer they had to purchase a new copy of Macrium since the usual licensing terms are computer specific. Using a Technician License allows a technician to backup or image any computer using a single Macrium Reflect license.

Typically a technician would use a Portable Application or its companion PE environment to image their target workstations. This means that Reflect only needs to be installed on a single PC and a portable application medium is created.

Portable application support is only provided with Macrium Reflect Technician licenses. In addition to allowing you to create a bootable USB drive from which to rescue systems, you can also optionally add support for portable multimedia applications. This will allow you to run Macrium Reflect on licensed PCs directly from a USB drive without having to install the Reflect application on a workstation or server. The basic installation of Macrium Reflect can only be installed on one computer at a time. If you wish to transfer this installation, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the software.
